Arrrgghh!

Thanks; I needed that. Just so you know - and in deference to two old friends, in an effort to stem the tide of harassing fan mail - I'm back. Oh, and in case you were wondering:
  1. We've moved.
  2. I've finished the first term at my second job.
  3. America has covered itself in folly via a baseless war in the Middle East.
I guess you probably already knew that last one. In any case, I've been busy. Sorry about that.

* * * *

So today, in the typical way of coincidence, we stand in the shadow of History. The beginnings of the Jesuit order, in all its dark mystery; the first wisps of NATO, now so disordered and dishonored; and a 35-year-old farewell to Dr. Martin Luther King, who had to die for us to realize that one man's death makes only a tiny ripple in the truth. Injustice continues, and lies are thicker than mud; but still we remember, somehow, and persevere in our stubborn stance against untruth.

Free at last, Dr. King; and thanks.
